Explore, play and learn
The farm is a great environment to explore, play and learn, igniting the children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Our activities for Early Years are structured around the Early learning goals, specifically physical, personal, social and emotional development, communication and language, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design.
Animal handling and feeding
On the farm the children can see and touch a wide variety of farm animals and pets, and there are opportunities for animal handling and feeding. As well as our animals, we have a walled garden and orchard where children can sow seeds or harvest the ripe fruit and veg. There’s our wildflower meadow and nature trail to explore too, hunt for bugs or hear a story and go on a sensory adventure.
You may choose to have a guided visit, which can be themed around an aspect of the children’s learning. This is at no extra cost and would be led by our trained and knowledgeable staff.
- Please see our activity list for EYFS for more information.
Outdoor play equipment
We have a variety of outdoor play equipment for the children to climb, balance, scoot, dig, slide and explore. There’s indoor ride-ons, sand pits and soft play too.
