Cook / Assistant Catering Supervisor

  • Full-time Position – 42.5hrs per week (9am-6pm)
  • Working 5 days out of 7, including weekends & bank holidays
  • £20,000 a year

This position is working on the front line in our Cafe / Restaurants, performing all aspects of cooking and supervisory responsibilities within the kitchen and the front of house team.

Both our kitchens are open kitchens; customer satisfaction, presentation and fantastic customer service is paramount in this role.

We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for cooking with home-reared meats and homegrown produce, with a great work ethic and high standards.

Our Catering offering comprises of our Eco Centre Cafe pizzeria specialising in our woodfired pizzas cooked to order in our outdoor pizza oven, and our Playbarn Cafe serving a family menu – both using fresh, seasonal and homegrown produce wherever possible.

This position involves being the primary Cook working in our Playbarn Cafe kitchen, but also taking an active role during busy times in the Eco Centre Cafe as well.

The working environment is family friendly with children playing and families eating. It is fast paced and requires fantastic customer service skills from a fun natured individual.

This position might suit a trained Chef / Cook who would prefer set sociable working hours.

Catering Front of House Staff

  • Fixed-term for Christmas season. Up to 4 vacancies available
  • Flexible hours (up to 24hrs per week). Option of weekends and weekdays
  • £4.20 to £7.83 per hour depending on age

With our growing visitor numbers, particularly at weekends and in the school holidays, we are looking for front of house staff for our Cafes. This position is ideal for an individual with an outgoing personality who is reliable, flexible and well presented, with a great work ethic and high standards.

Both our Playbarn and Eco Centre Cafe kitchens are open kitchens; customer satisfaction, presentation and fantastic customer service is paramount in this role.

This position consists of: -Till work -Barista -Pot wash -Serving food -Clearing tables and supporting customers. Training will be provided.

The working environment is family friendly with children playing and families eating. It is fast paced and requires fantastic customer service skills from a fun natured individual.
