The Green Dragon ‘Spring Babies’ event is a family friendly event and will host a variety of themed, educational and fun experiences and activities.  During the school holidays, there will be a full programme of animal encounters with lots of new babies to get close to, such as Oxford Sandy & Black piglets, goat kids, ducklings and chicks!

Spring Lambs

Here at Green Dragon we have rare breed lambs twice a year. We have our large flocks lambing at spring time, which will usually involve about 30 ewes producing 50 plus lambs. We’re expecting lambing to start from mid-March 2019.

And there will be our usual orphan lambs for visiotrs to bottle-feed! For more details, go to Green Dragon Lambing.

Wildlife Zone Encounters

We opened Phase One of our new Wildlife Zone on 1st August 2018, following months of planning, fund-raising and construction. This exciting and ever-evolving project now enables visitors to view British and European native species up close and enhances the already popular Animal Encounters Programme with talks and demonstrations involving the new wildlife, such as the Red Squirrels, Wallabies and Birds Of Prey. There are also daily training sessions with the Silver Fox and Ravens.

in 2019, we will continue to add to the wildlife in our care. European Polecats arrived early in February and the Lynx will arrive later this year.  More information can be found at  Wildlife Zone – New for 2018!
